The success story continues…
After a lot of engineering work and tests we are now in the position to present the SX-3 – 010 as a completely reworked chassis concept. Of course we will also offer a corresponding conversion kit for all existing chassis.
Since the last update of the SX-3 in 2007 development with H.A.R.M. has not been stopped. As it is not easy to improve a successful concept development has taken a lot of time. With the new chassis concept special attention has been paid to the flexing of the car and also the stability has been improved.
The SX-3 – 010 is based on a 8 mm thick chassis plate made of high quality aluminium. Due to several cut outs the weight is just 20 g higher than the weight of the existing chassis plate. Flutes on the bottom reduce the contact surface when the chassis touches the ground. The position of the front bumper is higher and the chassis plate is bevelled in this section in order to prevent contact of the front bumper with the ground.
The servo plate forms a unit together with the receiver box and receiver battery. This facilitates maintenance considerably as the servo plate is fixed just with 4 screws.
The upright carbon reinforcements provide more stability and influence the flexing behaviour of the car very positively. The transmission bracket is also connected to the front part of the vehicle by means of a carbon fibre reinforcement which facilitates equal flexing of the car.
The front bulkheads facilitate change of the roll centre in order to adjust the chassis for any track conditions and/or driving behaviour. They are also fixed longitudinally, the same as the connection to the middle section of the chassis.All these measurements and modifications lead to a very equal flexing behaviour of the chassis and therefore to a well-balanced driving behaviour.
The conversion kit contains all parts in order to convert an existing SX-3 Chassis Serie 4 (since 2007).
